Our Markets

What makes us unique?

Instance has a proactive network maintenance approach with its range of software products which allows for either on-site or remote monitoring of a network. This method of operation makes it possible to pre-empt network breakdowns or interruptions.

Additionally, these product offerings make it possible to qualify the physical layer of a communication network at time of handover. This qualification is supported by reports that are generated at the time of commissioning of the system.

Finally, in addition to physical layer redundancy, Instance offers protocol redundancy through the use of a proprietary protocol which can supersede the physical layer of redundancy when needed. This protocol is transparent to the normal data, but special system input / output data can unobtrusively be communicated across the system.

Industries that use our products

Our products and services are particularly popular in the life and safety industry because of the thinking that inspired their development. However, the fundamental commitment to high industrial QoS (quality of service), the creation of redundancy and the ease of platform integration with our ´plug and play´ modules make our products relevant and desirable to other industries such as intrusion, access control, petrochemical, industrial and mining industries.

Direct customers

In the United Kingdom, Instance has established sound working relationships with our customers that include Chubb Fire & Security Ltd, Kentec Electronics Ltd, SA Fire and Security, Clymac Ltd, Southern Fire Alarms Ltd, Firelec Controls Ltd, Tecserv (UK) Ltd and many other reputable participants in the life safety fire industry.
In the Republic of Ireland, Instance is working closely with Comsec Ltd to introduce our technology and products into the Irish markets.
In Spain we continue our mature and ongoing relationship with Casmar in providing network solutions to the life safety industry. Casmar is one the largest distributors of security systems (intrusion, CCTV, fire and access control) in Spain and Portugal. As an exhibition guest of Casmar, Instance participated in SICUR (the international security, safety and fire exhibition) in Madrid, during February 2014 where it showcased the functioning of some of its technology.
Instance also has direct customers in both South Africa and Singapore where our markets are growing.

Why use Instance products?

  • At Instance we have adopted new philosophies in the development of our network solutions for increased up-time. It is sometimes said that the physical layer with its divergent components is the most difficult to manage. Now the Instance products make fault detection easy because of the way our products function (isolating segments) and providing visual diagnostic display of information which was previously invisible and inaccessible to users.
  • The Instance network solutions which focus on the physical layer is a new approach to manage the QoS (quality of service) of industrial networks.
  • Given the requirements for super-fast operational response rates in the life and safety industry, and the influence of its uptime standards requirements on the design of the Instance product range, implementation of these Instance network solutions will improve quality not only in life safety systems, but other industries as well.
  • In preparation for the introduction of more stringent system compliance requirements of the EN54-13 amendments, the Instance technology is a good fit to execute the latest requirements of the draft specification.
  • Instance is aspiring to adopt a leadership role in the industry through the introduction of higher QoS system availability.
  • Our product manufacturing is ISO9001 compliant.
